Professional & Secure Tire Changes Near You
When it comes to mounting tires, precision is key. We’ll ensure your wheel lugs are tightened to the manufacturer’s recommended torque. Everything is handled with care. We’ll inspect your rims for rough spots or areas that could compromise the new tires.
Our operators know a speedy response makes the biggest difference when you’re stranded on the road. So, we’ll move with utmost urgency if you ever need an emergency tire repair.
We Install Seasonal Tires too
When the temperature drops, it’s time to switch to winter tires. We will recommend winter tires with the best traction for snowy and icy roads, keeping you safe during those cold months.
As the weather warms up, you should switch back to summer or all-season tires. Summer tires get you ready for the heat, providing plenty of grip for dry and wet roads.
Sometimes, A Quick Job is not the Answer…
A quick plug or patch might seem like a good idea, but sometimes the damage is just too severe. Does your tire have wear rings or cracks in the sidewall? Are chunks of tire tread falling off, or there’s been a puncture in the sidewall area? These are dangerous signs of a blowout waiting to happen. Not on our watch. We’ll let you know if your tire’s beyond repair.
Should I do a Tire Repair or Replacement?
A quick tire fix will save money, sure. But you might only be forestalling disaster. To guarantee your safety on the road, you should know how to recognize real signs of danger, like cracks in the sidewall, or a large puncture (more than ¼” in diameter). Our towing service and roadside experts provide the following recommendations for a tire replacement or repair:
Repair if
It’s a minor puncture: If you’ve run over a nail or screw and the puncture is less than ¼” in diameter, you’re in luck. Small punctures in the tread area can often be patched or plugged quickly and affordably, getting you back on the road in no time.
The tire has good tread life: Check the tread on your tire. If there’s plenty of tread left and it’s not too worn down, a repair is usually a good option. You don’t want to replace a tire that still has a lot of life left just because of a minor puncture.
It’s a single puncture: If your tire has only one puncture, repair is a viable option. Multiple punctures, especially if they’re close together, can compromise the tire’s integrity and may require replacement.
There’s no sidewall damage: If the damage is strictly in the tread area and not on the sidewall, repair is often possible. The sidewall is thinner and experiences more stress, so it’s unsafe to repair.
There are no wear rings after driving a flat: If you haven’t driven on the flat tire long enough to create a wear ring on the sidewall, a repair might work. A wear ring indicates the sidewall has been compromised, which usually necessitates a replacement.
Replace if
There’s sidewall damage: If there’s a crack or puncture in the sidewall, it’s time for a replacement. The sidewall supports the tire’s structure, and any damage here can lead to a blowout. Repairs on the sidewall are often temporary and unreliable.
It’s a severe puncture: If the puncture is larger than ¼” or there are multiple punctures, it’s best to replace the tire. Large or multiple punctures can seriously compromise the tire’s integrity. Long and irregular punctures can also warrant a replacement. These can damage the tire’s belts, making it unsafe.
Treads are worn or thin: If your tire is nearing the end of its tread life, it’s better to replace it. Worn tread reduces traction and increases the risk of skidding, especially in wet conditions.
Tread is separated from the casing or body of the tire: Tread separation is especially dangerous because it can lead to loss of control at high speeds. Warning signs include your car shaking at certain speeds, bubbles on the tire surface, and places where the tire has come off the wheel.
Wear rings on the sidewall: If you’ve been driving on a flat tire, and it has caused a wear ring on the sidewall, it’s time for a new tire. A wear ring indicates significant damage to the tire’s structure.
Tire has suffered extensive damage: Any extensive damage that compromises the tire’s integrity means it’s time for a replacement. This includes large cuts, excessive dry rot, many tears and rips, and multiple punctures.
There are sensor issues: If the tire pressure sensors are broken or damaged, and repairing the tire is impractical or too costly, replacing the tire might be the better option.

Tire Service FAQs
The quick (and best) answer is O miles. Driving on a flat, even over a short distance, can destroy the sidewall and render the tire useless. But if you must, do not drive longer than 2 kilometers and faster than 20 km/h. Even then, there’s still a chance this will damage your rims and essential components like your brake lines and suspension parts.
Only drive a flat for completely necessary maneuvers, like moving out of oncoming traffic. Unless it’s a run-flat tire, then you can drive it for close to 50 miles and at a speed of less than 50 km/h.
Properly plugged and patched? Then it can last the tire’s lifespan. A poorly plugged tire or DIY fix won’t last that long. A patched tire will also last longer than a plugged tire. But the most reliable option is a plug-and-patch combo.
Most manufacturers recommend tire replacement after 6 years. Because tires’ rubber compounds degrade over time, their structural integrity weakens the longer they last. At this point, the tire is more likely to blow out, even if it still has a lot of tread left.
